The primary functions performed by the NC are:

1. Scholarships:

UWC Maldives acts as the liaison for the UWC International Organization in the Maldives. In this regard, we communicate with the UWC IO and individual schools and colleges to secure placements and scholarships for Maldivian students at UWCs. While we usually accept full scholarship offers from UWCs, in the past we have raised funds and sent students of partial offers received as well.

2. Publicity:

UWC Maldives conducts a number of activities throughout the year to promote UWCs and the UWC scholarship opportunity. Our information dissemination and publicity efforts are mostly targeted towards students who are in their last year of completing standard 10, and their parents. Every year we conduct public information sessions as well as information sessions targeting specific schools as well. Please contact us if you would like us to go and speak about UWCs in your school.

3. Selections:

Every year, UWC Maldives conducts a rigorous process to select the most deserving Maldivian students for this opportunity. Our selection process consists of an application form to be filled out, a two day selection camp with shortlisted applicants and a final round of interviews with applicants shortlisted from the camp.

4. Current Student Affairs and Alumni Relations: 

UWC Maldives serves as an organization for Maldivian UWC students and graduates. We engage with students and their parents, offering support services to ensure that our students are full equipped and ready to succeed in a UWC. Additionally we also host various events and get together for alumni, encouraging them to remain involved in the movement.
